These two

Lily and Audrey adore each other. They really do! They play together non stop, with occasional screaming matches and hate it when the other is gone.  I'm certain that they get along so well because their personalities are so different.  They balance out so well. For example: Lily is a by the book rule follower and enforcer.  Most of the time she thinks she is the Supreme authority figure in our house.  Audrey on the other hand hears the rules of the house but seems to forget them 2 minutes later.  Happy little forgetful girl. However, she listens to whatever Lily tells her to do.  It's perfect!  I'm thankful for their differences.  They help me out and make me laugh!

Yesterday at lunch Audrey was eating some roast beef. Lily was watching her for a long time and then finally said: "Do you know you are eating a piece of a cow's body?!?"  She's 5 where does she come up with this stuff??

Audrey looked at the piece of meat in her hand for a second, shook it at her big sister and said: 

"Mmmmmmoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!"

Lily was disgusted, I laughed my head off and Audrey smiled and finished her lunch.  Ha ha ha ha!!

Their differences make me happy!!

Side note about the patch. For the past few couple months lily has had to wear a patch over her right eye for a couple hours a day to help strengthen her left eye.  She had an eye surgery a few years ago to help straighten her eyes out, which worked great!! She has just been favoring her right eye lately. Hence, the patch. She's great about wearing it, most days. And hopefully won't have to wear it much longer.  Sweet little girl!
