The 4th was a fun day this year.
It was HOT! blah! We got the sprinklers and the pool out to cool things down and ate way too much all day long. I always eat ridiculous amounts of food on Holidays .. .WHY?!? So annoying and YUMMY!!
Audrey had a little stomach bug all day, but she slept a lot and battled through it, little sweetheart.
My family and our good friends The Neils came over to celebrate. We spent the day eating (of course), cleaning up a little barf (poor baby Audrey), doing some patriotic crafts (THANKS Hayley!!) and later lighting fireworks out in the street. Great way to celebrate, eh?! Well, except for the puke part. :-)
Lily HATES fireworks. Seriously, HATES them. Kaleb lit a little fountain in the road and she started screaming like she was seriously injured and bee lined it for the back yard. . . . ha ha ha! I wish I would have gotten that on video. We got her calmed down a bit and she nervously enjoyed the mild fireworks we had purchased, mainly consisting of sparklers and snakes. Mild. Silly girl.
I really enjoy the 4th of July. Anything patriotic touches my heart. What a wonderful day!!
We are blessed to live where we do.
